Arizona is the new Mississippi

The “Human Rights Issue” of the 50’s-60’s was the treatment of African Americans in our country. At the time most Americans failed the test of compassionate involvement and believed the lies of the establishment which vilified Martin Luther King and the movement.

Today most now hail King and the Civil Rights Movement as a good and Godly thing, yet for our generation the human rights and biblical issue exploding in front of us is how we responded to the poor of our hemisphere, the immigrants seeking justice and freedom from poverty. (often directly linked to our national policies)

Arizona is about to pass a law that would create a police state with ID requirements similar to Nazi Germany or Apartheid South Africa. Get involved in AZ – before it spreads to other states!

  2. A simple text reading of the new statute in Arizona would confront all points of your argument as a smoke screen talking points for those wanting ‘free’ freedom. Only after evinence of the comission of a crime can any proof of citizenship be requested. All citizens are not required to carry ID relating to their status. And cannot therefore be required to show documentation including a driver license. Those detained on suspicion of a crime and suspected of immigration violaions will be required to provide proof of status.

The Arizona law upholds federal law and constitution. If profiling takes place, which violates civil rights, those affected may avail themselves of the protections under the law.

Citizens and legal immigrants will feel only penalties for the originall infraction. Those here without protection of citizenship will be sent back. Don’t come here illegally. Problem solved.

If anything the citizens should be upset that such measures could possibly inconvience them. But they in large majority, support the law Hispanics and scary white people alike.
